The boy was the one who actually first gave me the idea and he was sure they would swap over, too.

Okay guys so I made it over to my shop tonight and got a little bit of work done. As you can see in the pictures I did get the 21 spline input shaft removed from the NP242 that was in my red Jeep when I bought it. The pile of scrap metal on the work bench is what is left of my NP242....LOL. That crap will make it's way out to the garbage pile. I have the only piece I want of an NP242 in my Jeep. Now, I just need to get it installed into my NP231.

I have a little side project to get knocked out that I took for, some Jeep cash. A neighbor offered me $200 bones to rebuild the rearend in his old lady's Durango. Should just be replacing bearings and seals. Pretty straight fwd. I hope to knock most of that out tonight and finish it up in the morning. Then get on with the Jeep build with $200 bucks to spend.

I should have the transfer case done tonight. Maybe even put in. I have to get a hold of Chris Froelich of FST in Yakkma to get one of his simple NP231 linkages.
