If I do end up leaving for sure on 22 July I probably will just put Great White on hold until I get back from Deployment. If I find out my deployment has been postponed or canceled I want to have Great White completed in time to go on Timmys Naches run the last weekend in June.

I'm really happy with how my Leaf Springs came out looking. I hope they still ride and flex as good as they always did. I'm sure they will. It's really surprising how slippery that, Dry Lubricant Spray I put between the leaves, made them. Everytime I pick them up I have to hold the leaves parallel because they want to slide all different directions...LOL. I think that is a good sign.

Here are the pictures I took of my tires for sale, that I am going to use for my Craigslist ad. I figured I would give all of my CherokeeForum brothers one last crack at them before they go public on Craigslist. $200.00 for all five tires (33x12.50x15 Maxxis Bighorns) and you get the rims that fit an XJ (15x7, 5 on 4.5) for free. Call or text (360)929-5518. Notice in the pic. with the penny, Ole Honest Abe's head is clean out of sight. There is a lot of meat left on these tires!!

Well, I did some wheeling and dealing over this weekend. So, last Wednesday I went down to Bonney Lake and picked up my wheels and tires from Branden's house. $120 for four 35x12.50x15 Cooper Discoverer STT tires mounted on black steel rims that were supposed to be 5 on 4.5 lug pattern. Well, they weren't. I took them home thinking if nothing else I could take the tires off the rims and trade or sell these rims to get a set of rims the right size. Well, my son happened to tell me that Shane, a kid here on the island I've wheeled with a few times, had his four aluminum Ultra rims from his XJ for sale for $200 OBO.....on Facebook I think. These rims are perfect. They look cool and they are 15x8, 5 on 4.5, 4" backspacing and farely light weight. Anyway I got his number and texted him. He told me the price....but then, he told me he was willing to trade. I asked what he needed. He said he needed a front facia piece as the one on his XJ was pretty beat up. I was literally amazed. I had the front facia piece from my old Jeep still in garage. It was the only piece of my old Jeeps body that I still had. I was just going to remove the lights and wiring out of it and sling it in the weeds. So, we made the deal and I traded the facia for the aluminum rims and then had the 35s mount, balanced and shorty valve stems installed. I think they look good and will look even better once they are under Great White. I also sold my old wheels and tires within 15 minutes of putting the ad on Craigslist. I also sold the PS pump and hoses from my old Jeep. So, with $350 in my pocket I bought myself a set of new Skyjacker shocks for Great White and then went to the Sprint Car races at Skagit Speedway Saturday night to celebrate!!!

I have all of the pieces to install the lift once my shocks come in the mail. I think I'm going to tear down my rear D44 and start whipping it into shape. I already have my R n P mastrer rebuild kit, my new Low Profile shock mounts. I just need to get parts together for the rear disc brake conversion. All I need to do to my D30 is press in the Upper Right side ball joint back in. It's walked out about 1/4". I also need to swap out my long side axle with the (97-01) style axle that I acquired to match the short side (97-01) that I got from Alex. I think I'm also going put a set of Alloy USA axle seals in it, too. I need to get these axles to where they are all good and ready to bolt right in the same time as the lift kit. So, more off Jeep work. Sorry. I know you guys are all itching to see Great white with the lift on it.
I also was very limited in time to work on the Jeep this weekend as I promised my wife I would make some forward progress on our deck in the back yard. I must say it too is coming along quite nicely.

So, I rolled my new tires out to Great White to show you all just how much bigger it will be to clear the new meats...LOL. Seems like a lot by looking at these pics...LOL!!
Very Very soon I will be starting on the lift install. You all know me, though. I like to have everything needed to complete a job beginning to end without any hiccups, before I get started.

I've got the complete 8.5" lift in my garage. Just need to get my axles whipped into shape so they are ready to go on the new Jeep when I put the lift on.

Well, it'snow been 10 days since I ordered mt new shocks from the Lynnwood, Wa. 4WheelParts store. The counter guy told me they were coming from a warehouse in Utah. he didn't tell me they would be coming via Slow Boat from China...LOL.
Nothing new to report on Project Great White as I was working on my deck most of the weekend and then pampering the wife on Mother's Day, of course!!
