I'm going to resist flopping the new one on it's side....TWICE....lol, like the other one. That was pretty much the beginning of the end for it looking halfway decent. But, you know me. I will try anything, any trail, anywhere....LOL!!!! The new Jeep will have it's PNW "Pinstriping" soon enough. I mainly want to get the rust off of everything and do a little rust prevention with the **** can. I am really surprised just how rusty everything was getting. I mean I do live by the ocean but, I painted every piece really good before it went on the old Jeep.

I have really surprisingly been able to keep this build on the cheap, so far. I mean I had my old 91 Cherokee Sport pretty much totally outfitted for any 4wheeling mission. Then, I spotted the new Jeep on Craigslist for a song because it had a seized motor. I pretty much took the motor out of the old Jeep and put it in the new jeep to get it running and driveable. Then I completely stripped my old Jeep of every usable or sellable part and had the local recyclers come pick up the bare carcous. Now, I am in the process of cleaning, fixing or replacing all of the cool guy off road parts from the old Jeep before they go on the new Jeep. So far, selling spare parts from the two Jeeps has earned all the money I've needed to make repairs and buy replacement parts. I'm really beginning to think I am going to have to put out the cash outright for the new 35" tires I want to run on the new Jeep. Everything else I should be able to buy with money earned from the Jeeps.

I totally hear you, man....Matt and Timmy have their Jeeps torn down right now, too. Summer approaches!! I'm working it.

Hey and speaking of my build. You guys won't hear much from me over the next 2 weeks. Duty calls, and I will be heading over to Norfolk, Virginia to go sailing aboard USS Harry S Truman with the Navy squadron I am attached to. I'm still not going on deployment. Just going out for a couple weeks to keep all of the Navy pilots qualifications current so IF or WHEN the powers that be decide our freedom and national security isn't too expensive, we will be ready to head overseas on a deployment. I will be home Saturday, April 27th and hard back at work on my new project. Stay tuned for more pics and tech.

I already told most of you guys about this but, it is a part of my build and I got such an amazing deal I just had to post it. These tires are 35x12.50x15 Cooper Discoverer STT mudders. The rims are 15x8, 5x4.5 lug, black steel "D" windows. I saw the ad for them on craigslist a few days ago. I got all 4 wheels and tires for.....GET THIS....just $120.00. Craigslist shopping is great!!! These babies are ready to be bolted right onto my Cherokee and go wheeling!!!! LOL....that is as soon as I get my lift and axles on it.

These tires dont have brand new tread but they will get me up and running with 35s and should last until I can afford the Summit Mud Hog 35s that Ive had my eye on.

Even for just rims, $140 is a great deal. These rims I got will hopefully have new tires on them within the next few months.

Man this sucks being stuck over here on the east coast and not being able to work on my Jeep!! Oh well, I'm here for the job and that is a very important part of completing any project. With no funding it's pretty hard to build and maintain a Jeep. Still suck!!!

The 33'x12.50"x15" Maxxis Bighorns that were on my old Jeep when I took it apart are officially now for sale. Unfortunately I cannot post any pictures of them because as you all know I am on the east coast for 2 weeks. The tires all 5 of them and the stock 15x7, 5x4.5 lug, aluminum "10 hole" or whatever you would call them, rims, are for sale. The tires are all 70% tread. You can have 4 wheels and tires for $200 or all 5 wheels and tires, to include a spare matching rim and matching Maxxis Bighorn 33" tire, for $250. I'm basically giving you the rims for free for that price. Hell, just one 33" Maxxis Bighorn tire is around $230 and that is on E-bay. if you buy them at Schwabs I think they are even more. I had to run 1.5" spacers at all four corners to make these rims work with 12.50" wide tires because stock Jeep rims have 5" backspacing. I'm not ready to part with my spacers just yet. But with the smoking hot deal you are getting on these tires....and if you want to use the cheesey stock rims then you can buy your own spacers. I suggest if you want an awesome deal on a set of good 33" mudders then buy the tires, ****can the rims and get a set of cheap black steel rims with 3.5-3.75 backspacing to run them on. I won't be able to get the tires to anybody until after 27 April. That is when I get home. The first person to PM me here on the CF and say you want them gets to take them home as soon as I get home.
