I want to rotate my tires but I have an Aussie locker in front and one of my tires is about 90% and the other is about 50%. There is about 1/4" difference in tire size, will that be enough to cause the locker to engage during normal (hiway) driving?

Yes, I have been running front and rear Aussie lockers in my Jeep for almost three years now. Any difference what so ever in size between your tires side to side will cause your Aussie locker to engage and disengage. I have experienced my Jeep buck, click and jerk just from having as little of a difference as 15 PSI in tire pressure.

I'll be there for the Elbe to run the Busy, too. So whichever of us is leading will have the other to winch him backwards out of the deep mud holes...LOL!!!

I have Aussie Locker "Lunch Box" type lockers in my Jeep front and rear. I bought them because they are cheaper than selectable lockers and these things are tuff on the trail and quiet and have good manners on the road. I know from personal experience. If your Jeep sees a lot of street time then you would probably want a selectable locker like an OX, ARB or ECTED. Most inexpensive will be a lunch box auto locker like an Aussie, LockRite or Spartan. For max strength you would want a Detroit Locker. If your Jeep sees no road time and you run it in the dunes only then I would just put a spool in the rear diff. Super cheap, super simple and super strong, max traction!
