Hey guys, I was trying to figure out a way to get more guys to join the Cherokee Forum. There are probably 20-30 modified XJ right here in little Podunk Oak Harbor, Washington, alone. There is only one other guy I know of for sure that is on CF regularly beside my son and I and that is AircrewAllan. But, still haven't even met him in person.
ANYHOO.......I was thinking of making up cards.....Like business card size......and just have it say something like "www.cherokeeforum.com. Check it out. You are Welcome. We would really like to have you. It's free group BS, Tech. talk, trail reports, etc. Best of all it's ALL CHEROKEES, ALL THE TIME!! I am Brian "BuckB91XJ" Buchanan. I live here in Oak harbor. Hope to see you on the forum and/or on the trail soon!!" As I'm driving around the base and town, and I see a sweet XJ, just slide a card under the driver's side wiper blade.
So, what do you think? Would I be invading a guy's personal space by doing this??

I don't think so.

SWMJ has cards that say "Great Jeep" on them and have the contact info that we put on Jeeps we see.

So far have gotten a few people to join. Average about 1 for every 10 Jeeps we tag.

If you do this, try Vista print for cheep cards.

I have done that here locally on a regular piece of paper but never saw any of them on here.

I don't know why they don't atleast check it out.

Ohwell maybe they think we are internet nerds that don't really wheel our Jeeps.

Just frustrates the heck out of me seeing all these nice XJs around town. Everytime I go 4wheeling I see these large groups of Wranglers together and I'm lucky to find one other XJ to go wheeling with. I think if I could just get some of these guys to check CF out, they would really enjoy the XJ comradery on this forum and maybe learn a thing or two while they're at it. PLUS when I put out a thread about a local Cherokee run I'll get more than one taker. I think a simple card that just says: If you love all Cherokees, all the time, www.cherokeeforum.com, Check it out!

I think next time there is a run I am going to print up some flyers and put them at all the stores on post and see if maybe somebody will come.

SWEET!! On base is where I was gonna start with my card tags. There are like a half dozen or so really nicely fixed up XJs around just on base. I realize a few of them might be dreaded "street Jeeps" because I've never seen a speck of dirt on them.

I used Craigslist a couple of times also, You know how we are always searching for Jeep parts, just put it in with jeep parts or something.

I will do this on occasion when I see a nice ride, but that doesnt happen often around here. Usually if I do they are going the other way...

ya, im a victim of the "clean" jeep only cuz like i said in the other forum that i havent wheeled since i got the lift on due to lack of parts but anyway but ya Buck if you throw a few cards in my window i can pass them out as i see them too

JeepinLeo has flyers. He did a drive by on my XJ last week and left a stack under my Wiper Blade.

I still have about 30 more flyers for the meet and greet. I haven't seen air crew to leave some for him.

We should talk about a monthly dinner we do somewhere or meet. For locals and who ever wants to make the trip.

Then we can make new flyers after this meet and greet. That say the same as the one I made but instead have it say meet and greet 3rd saturday of each month or every even month.
