I Need Help Planning an Elbe Hills Run
4wheelparts of south tacoma way should have cable. They usually have decent prices on things.
ANNOUNCEMENT!
Me and brian (buck) will be meeting at 8am at elbe campground instead of 7am. We are going to try to meet with bobbys group so it isn't just us two hitting the trails. So anyone who was planning on being there at 7am change it to 8am

So, I was looking back through the posts again. All combined we have 11 XJs, 2 FJs and a Silverado. 4-5 of the XJs will be joining Tim running the Busy Wild. The rest will be running the rest of the trails with me (Buck) and Branden. We should have a pretty good bunch for a grip-n-grin and group shot in parking lot. If we actually get 11 XJs this will be a new best showing for a Cherokeeforum PACNORWEST Chapter wheeling run. I am SOOOO looking forward to this run!!! I've been wanting to run Elbe Hills forever and I've been wanting to together with the guys I know from the forum and meet more for another wheeling run. Just one week from today we will all be there running Elbe!!!

Oneal, I have never run the Little Naches area over near Yakima. I know Branden has been over there a few times. His Dad's Jeep club does a run over there each spring or summer. I will probably be going over there with them this year. You are more than welcome to join us at Elbe if you can make it.
I have been to naches more times in my life than I can count. I love going over there eventhough the trails are easy. I usually go once in the winter with my jeep club then once in the summer. Its a big area with a wide variety of wheeling

So I was just looking at the weather forecast for the Elbe area through Thursday. Its saying rain and 40s all through next week. With the chance of rain getting less as the week progresses. I'm thinking the guys who are planning the Snow Jam might just cancel for this Saturday and postpone it. Ireally don't think there is going to be any snow there at all. HOWEVER, it should be nice and wet, muddy and slippery for us. There may be some snow in the stubborn shaded areas but, I'm thinking there really won't be any. As I said before I'd rather there wasn't any snow in Elbe this time as it is my first time. I want to see what the whole area looks like without snow first then, if I like it I'd be more than happy to go back for a snow run. So, bring extra clothes guys...definitely at least socks and shoes. If anybody gets stuck we will be getting our feet wet!!! People generally don't get stuck in thre dryer spots...lol!!

So you are saying those guys stuck to the forest service roads and then there wasnt even any snow??? Man, those guys must really run some stockers if they have fun just driving the forest service roads. I have seen a lot of pics in the 4wheeling mags of guys running what look like old mine access roads in Colorado and they say they are on such and such a trail. I guess it just depends on where you are and what you are used to as to what you consider a road and what you consider a trail...lol.

Well, if you want to run the Busy Wild you will need to ask Tim, Bill, Dave or whoever the few others are that will be going to run the Busy.
