Yesterday evening when the snow started piling up on the roads I called a couple of my Cherokee driving buddies for a snow drive around town. Not 10 minutes into the drive we pulled over to help a lady who had plowed the front end of her Lexus into a ditch. As we were helping her someone else came down the road and put his truck into a ditch further down the road. After helping both of them we kept on wheeling and came across a truck on it's side. We hooked 3 Jeeps together for traction and winched him upright. Later we found a Civic stuck in a ditch on a seldom traveled back road (he was lucky we found him). We got him unstuck and gave his passenger a ride up the hill that the civic got stuck on. Later that night we found a field with an open gate covered in about 8 inches of fresh powder. 20 minutes of pedal to the floor snow drifting later we headed on home. Overall an awesome night. It blows me away how some people will just drive by someone stuck in a ditch without even asking if they need help.

i wish i knew 3 people locally with cherokees... i know 3 with wranglers

i got about 3 inchs at my house down here in gay harbor.

i stopped a few times to help people. one friend of mine drives a wrangler and she is a girly girl, wanted to get a winch to pull people out and charge them 5 dollars. i told her i wouldnt allow it because idk what creep she might be helping, shes very attractive. plus 5 bucks you'll never pay off the winch!

Way to go guys.

Didn't have my XJ today, but, pulled out some kid who popped a curb while spinning cookies in a icy parking lot.
He knocked his tire right off his rim. Honda civics don't like curbs much.

I mainly helped a few people get up hills. Watched a new escalade EXT slide into a curb and bend the crap out of his rear 26in rim and axle. (I had to laugh a little) then i asked if he needed a hand to get anywhere.

i cant belive how many people who drive cars that are not ment to be on snow and ice and they do it anyway! most people seem to not have a care at all in there minds untill they are sliding along into whatever is infront of them. a few years back i was on m way upto bellngham when this line of fullsizers went shootin by me like i was standing still. i said to my self i will be see in u guys again, sure enough ot just few miles farther down there they were all piled up into eachother in the center median. last time i checked 4 wheels drive just helps you go , and dont do nothing for stoping or steering unless yo have controll of the vehicle. i like watching the dummies in there lux suv's pile up, there should be some sort of test they have to take before they can buy!! all this said i want it to dump the motherload snow.

It snowed 7 inches at my house so there was no shortage of cars in the ditch to help out Monday night. I gotta agree with MISFITXJ that the biggest problem most people have with snow is turning and stopping. Seems like every idiot out there with a 4x4 tag on their rig thinks that they can hit the 4 wheel button and drive like normal in the snow. It's just like wheeling steep trails, the people with lockers have the advantage going uphill, but everone is even going downhill.

Awesome. I've done that around here with Kalifornians who think their SUVs conquer all. They don't conquer ditches real well.....

Oh man I hear that all the time. Portland is like ground zero for Subaru drivers. Should be interesting to see what happens if we do get some real snow this year. Last year I was cracking up at three of my neighbors who all drive fullsize pickups & suv's with big rims and street tires. None of them could even get out of their driveways. I seriously hope it does snow his winter so I can cruise right past in my Jeep.
