Duh lol silly me. I can't remember the brand on the O2 but I got it on eBay (I know, I need to stop with the eBay sensors). What do you recommend??

Also Just crossed my mind that I did the sea foam treatment (spray not liquid) in the throttle body bout three weeks back and I've read that it's not to friendly to O2 sensors. It sent out ALOT of nasty carbon smoke!!! Bosch seems to be the consensus so I'm going to pick one up. I'll Let you know (as if you thought otherwise) lol

It can be tested.

I use only NTK.

Cold start problem seems to be taken care of. Hasn't done it sense I did the ground work. As for the idle decrease as engine warms...more tests are in order.

Oh yeah o2 swapped out and it doesnt have a sudden drop anymore. I was pretty stoked when it ran for about 10 min and I didn't hear the idle SUDDENLY drop. But it still slowly but surely dropped the idle. Sigh lol might get some captain crunch cuz I know me and the capin can make it happen

is is there a test for the icm?? Only thing I can find online is to wack it with a hammer with it running and if the idle stumbles, its bad. Idk but it doesn't seem very accurate

I've never found a good test for the ICM.

Grab one from the junkyard. Or, if you're like me, you have your own Jeep used parts emporium.....

Refreshed ecu, no go. Tested MAP sensor, good (it was new).
TPS is good tested
MAP is good tested
CTS is good known good part
IAT is new (did the swap for the HO iat)
O2 is good tested

What else can I check?
I haven't explored the possibility of engine mechanical problems just because it seems to run how it should when it first starts up. Could that be misleading? Should I start looking at the timing/distributor for possible problems? I took the shell off the ecu as well. Everything looked nice on the board. Solders looked good and no black spots.

Could having an ecu for a auto trans be throwing anything off? Idk wether or not it was swapped when the guy I got it from swapped the trans. With how bunk the dipstick ground was done has me sceptical

HO IAT is not a direct swap for Renix.

Auto trans ECU is not an issue.

ok and yeah I had to get a connector for the iat too. I did it last summer but I remember them being the same besides the connector so I just soldered the connector in there. The iat is for a 91 (just to be specific)

while I still have my ecu down I'm going to start testing pins. Do you have or know of a good write up for that? As far as volt values and wire/pin diagram? Thanks for the speedy response btw!! Hope I'm not a thorn in your side

The plug isn't the issue. It's the way they work differently.

So obviously I need to correct this issue before moving forward with anything else. Or cross my fingers this could be the issue. I know this part has been discontinued. Do I need to hit the salvage yard or IS there a replacement??
