Default yellow box under dash

hey guys when I was replacing my ingnition switch I had to remove a yellow box with an Amc sticker on and a flat plug in it with maybe ten wires. there were three adjusting screws does any one know what it is or what it does? 1987 cherokee 4.0 auto

Cruise control module. Those screws will adjust the CC if it still works!!

I have to rewire CC controls on the turn signal lever to find out if it even works.

I wouldn't even worry about it, and pull all of that crap out of there. That's what I did, I don't miss my CC.

COS your Jeep is not a hiway cruiser so of course you don't miss your CC but some folks still use their XJ as a hiway cruiser and may miss the CC if it were gone.

Sorry, I do forget that sometimes!! When I'm driving I'm usually going wheeling, and well, that is enough to keep me pretty happy in most cases!! Later!!
