XJ or WJ?
alright, I am pretty sure I just bought an 01 XJ grand cherokee limited with only 43k on it, but can't seem to find anything based off parts lists for an 01 XJ. I've tried a Vin decoder to figure it out for 100 percent sure, because just based on the body style alone, I am pretty positive I have an XJ. Anyone that can help? Darn stupid jeep newbie

The dealer let me walk out the door for only 10k on it. An older couple had traded it in the previous day, and I needed to trade in the family car on something more suiting my new single lifestyle. The dealer called me on it, and I couldn't resist. It was still in line for detailing when I got it.

This was the first picture I took of it in the driveway, the day after purchase. Next weekend I'm hoping to introduce her to the woods. This is my first foray into offroad vehicles, but even at 36, never to late, right? Thanks for the help, I was pretty sure it was an XJ, but still totally at a loss when it comes to Jeeps.

Perhaps a bit overpriced, but considering it was from a dealer I can't complain to badly. Had to dump a 2010 awd Fusion sport after a divorce. Expenses were piling on, and this is a much better match for a light trails/camping machine for me and my newly single life. I probably won't go extreme on it until it's paid off. But definitly plan on getting some experience with it over the next few years.

Agreed its a little high but alot of cherokees that ive seen that have below 85k miles goes for about 6-7 and velow 50k ive seen them listed between 8-9 plus the way i look at it if your gonna be dumping alot of money into it id want it to be nice before i put all yhem money into it to make it better. Nice find and welcome to the forum

I think the combination of dealer purchase and Pacific Northwest make the $10K a reasonable price for an '01 XJ with only 43K miles. I mean it looks brand new, and it's a Limited. Welcome to the madness, I think you found yourself an awesome trail truck, even stock, it's perfect for logging roads, snow, mud, and just about anything the PNW can throw at you short of boulders.
Sorry about the divorce but you're off to a good start to the single life.
