XJ Steering
Here is my 2 cents.
I had the same problem with drivability after I replace everything in my front end. Jeep was wandering all over.
Here is what I did that worked.
I My toe in was at 3/16 and I further toed in one entire rotation of the tie rod bar. The one extra turn really made it drive good.
So I backed it off a half turn and it still drove well. That is where I am leaving the adjustment for now. Ill keep my on tire wear but I will sacrifice a bit for drivability.
Also I did not have a steering stabilizer originally. So I added one and it seems to take the roll out of the drag link.

yeah... it's just enough to tick me off a bit... I'm going to have to find the actual cause of it near future.. I'm driving the XJ more than I was previously. Will need new shoes soon and don't want the geometry on the steering to be off on expensive new tires.
