Sure the NSS is adjusted right? Gotta be doing mine soon. No backup lights unless I jiggle the shifter and it didn't want to start in park one time recently.

Yeah try adjusting it some more. You could be half a millimeter off of that sweet spot of the big 3: 1. starting in park 2. starting in neutral 3. having reverse lights.
Might be a dumb question but have you pulled the tailights off to make sure the bulbs are good?

Do you have a "trans" fuse in the fusebox on the driver's side?
Does your Power/Comfort trans switch light up when in Power mode?

First, you need to figure out why your reverse lights aren't working. Is it actually your NSS or is it a wiring problem. Unplug your NSS from the harness, place the transmission in reverse (key on, engine off) and using a multimeter, check for continuity between pins A and E. Remember to set your parking brake or chock your tires. To identify pins A and E, hold the NSS side of the pigtail (not the harness side) with the clip facing down... the upper row of pins are (left to right) A, B, C, D and the bottom row (also left to right) are E, F, G, H. A and E will be located at opposite corner of the connector.
If you don't have continuity then you'll need to pull your NSS again and check the springs and contacts, along with the wires leading to the plug.
If you do have continuity... Use a paper clip or a piece of wire to jump pins A and E on the harness side. With the key in the ON position, this should illuminate your reverse lights . If it doesn't then you've got yourself a wild goose chase and it's time to start hunting down frayed wires and corroded plugs.
Good luck. Let us know what you find.
