Default XJ brake line kit help.

Who do you use for the line that goes from the proportioning valve to the rear axle? The whole line is like a chafing stale pretzel on mine and will probably pinhole any day.
Quadratec has a generic kit but I called and the guy does not know squat about it so I come the the pro's.
I searched and did not find any good info.

I assume you mean this part:

https://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/C...+50038+2038004

This is for a 98 but I believe it will work on a 99.

Did you try the Jeep dealer? Two years ago, I bought that metal line for about $35.00. This week, I had to buy the steel line from the Prop. valve to the right front brake hose. Still available from Jeep and it only cost $15.00.

i'm just looking to make up some lines cause my dealer doesn't have them and says they can't get them.

I'm looking to make up a driver side front line. I know the length and I know the thread into the prop valve, any one know the thread between the hardline and the soft line on the drivers front? I can't find this info in the FSM either...weird or i don't know how to look.

Getting ready to do all my brake lines also, when I crawled under her to do the CPS I saw lines so rusted they looked like they would burst if I sneezed on them.

Just buying the fittings and lines and having a mechanic friend of mine do the bending and install. (Helping of course to learn).

XJs are 3/16" lines correct? Everywhere I go I see 2 sizes.

Thanks,

Shawn

Check the dealer. I bought the long rear hard breaks line from the master tip the rear for $23. Took about 20 min to install.
