Last night I got a flat and had to leave my Jeep in a parking lot while I found a spare tire to put on (The spare was the flat..) and after I drove it home, I realized my blinkers weren't working. Everything else on that control does though, like windshield wipers. The headlights and dashlights turn on, and so do the brights, but when the headlights are on, the tail lights aren't, and when breaking the lights don't come on either. We checked the fuse box and none of them were dead, anyone have any suggestions?

 

Edit: The tail lights to come on when the headlights do, but no break lights.

 

Dollar to donuts the lamps are burned out but I'd hope you checked for that first thing.

 

We did, and they weren't

 

You need to go back and check the ground strap. It is in the panel behind the spare tire mount.

 

Won't that just fix the front lights?

 

Read again . Check for current and ground in socket with test light while back there.

 

Checked the breakers again, this time by pulling them out and I blew the hazard one. Thanks for your help though guys.

 

Hazards and brake lights share same fuse .

 

Not trying to thread jack but my 88 xj doesnt have hazards and judt discovered no brake lights eithrer but all fuses are good any ideas? I don't have power into the brake switch on the pedal either
