Default Head gasket question

Okay I have 99 XJ and it's time to do the fun head gasket replacement. But I have a parts 98 xj out back with a brand new head on it. I would like to take the head off the 98 and put it on the 99 but from what I see online the head gaskets are different for these two years? So can I take the 98 head and put it on the 99 block? Which gasket to use and is it even possible, any help is appreciated.

Hmm didn't see that one I guess I was more generally looking at the kits that included the manifold gasket and such does anyone know if there are any different gaskets around the head area?

Update on this job, would taking an intake manifold off the 98 and putting it on the 99 work? or would it cause check engine, computer issues etc?

Stick to the 99 and up manifolds. They are better

I understand but will the 99 header and intake manifold go on the 98 block? The gasket is different I'm very confused.
