I would say avoid the blocks. Those are huge blocks. Just save up some more and do it right. My recommendation. You be looking at about 200 for new shocks alone at least. Then you'd need to do something with your brake lines too. How big of tires are you looking to run? That will let us tell you more too.

Also look at the all lift and tires thread. All you'll ever need to know about lifts

Driving home this morning at 4 AM my jeep decided to die and destroyed bearings and threw my front passenger tire into my wheel well. I'm currently taking it apart to see the real damage. It's the DANA 30 still. Any suggestions to rebuild or just buying a new front. Was my daily driver and I hope to still keep it that way. PM me or just comment. It's in my garage in parts right now. Thanks.

This is the only pic I could get. I'll get more and better ones tomorrow. My buddy said wheel bearings are shot and I pry just need new hubs, calipers, pads, and rotors. But the axle shaft has a lot of play and idk if the front has a c-clip or not.

Front doesn't have a C-clip for sure. Dana 30's are held in by the hubs. And it seems like your buddy is right. Just need a new wheel hub, explains the axle shaft play lol. Easy fix, just cost a tad bit of money. How are your knuckles? Did you bust any of the two ball joints on the axle C?

Oh and when you replace the hub, pull the axle shaft out just to check the splines

Quick question, I have a 98 XJ 4.0, up until a month ago the car would start quick (after two or three turns) now it takes quite a few turns before she roars to life. idle is smooth and so is acceleration and gear shifts. the problem arises when maintaining a speed 50-55 mph the car will start to surge, if i press the gas it smooths out, if the speed raises or lowers it drives fine. no error code

Here are the specs:
98 XJ 4.0 Auto, 4wd 170K
NEW Battery (a month before problem started)
NEW Starter (same as above)
Dynomax Cat-back(same as above)
OEM CAT
K&N(a week before the problem started)
Coolant flush and thermostat (week before)

I am thinking fuel pump as it would explain the starting issue and cutting out...it may be on its last legs. or the K&N may have fouled the MAF? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also looking into new shocks, not looking to lift as this is my wife's truck just want a nice ride quality, recommendations are welcome
