I brought home a 1998 Cherokee Sport today. It is lifted and has what appear to be 35" tires on it. Only problem is that I have no idea who made the kit, what type of kit it is, or anything about it. The front shocks need to be replaced because the wear pattern on the tires have high and low spots. I will post some pictures of it today and I would appreciate any help that you guys can offer.

Ok, removed the ICA and it was disgusting. Cleaned it up and reinstalled, made a slight difference in the idle. Pics
So I have been hearing this air sucking sound and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. So I saw this tube thing unplugged and heard it sucking air, I put my finger over it while the Jeep was running and it cut off. So I plugged it in and it actually works a lot better now. But, it still has bad idle, think I should just go ahead and replace the TPS??? Pics

Hey,
I have a 2000 Cherokee with Inline 6 cylinder 4.0L engine.
My electric cooling fan doesn't turn on when I use AC or when it gets hot. If it is summer time and I am stopped for long periods of time it starts to get too hot. I have verified that the cooling fan relay is working properly and that all of the connects to the relay are good. (Power). The ground for the control side of the relay however has 60-70k ohms of resistance between the relay connection and the battery. I know that the PCM provides the ground but I am wondering why this resistance never goes down. I verified the cooling fan request wire from the high pressure switch for the AC is ok.
Any ideas or similar issues I would appreciate the help!

Turned out I was just being impatient with it. It might depend on what temperature you mean by "too hot." On my jeep, I was expecting the auxiliary cooling fan to kick on once it got around 210, when it actually turns on around 215 (or so).
Moreover, I don't recall the fan engagin immediately when the AC is turned on. It seems to me that it requires the AC to reach a certain pressure before engaging the Aux cooling fan.
Bottom line, I'd run it for a while and see if the fan doesn't kick on. I was trying to fix a problem that wasn't actually there... I'd check and make sure this might not be the case for you as well.
