Sounds as your knuckle ball joints are bad.

My Renix knocks at idle but only when the temp gauge touches the 210 mark.... no noise before that. Was wondering if it would be safe to use 15W40 Rotella oil to wait until fall when i can actually try to get an overhaul or something.

You guys are good by the way, i wish I had some of you as my neighbors
It will make the knock quieter, keep the oil press up and give another couple of years to the engine.

I have a 99 cherokee that Ive lifted to 4". I have an adjustable trac bar and zj steering setup. I went wheeling and on my way home I noticed a little popping noise when i turned like somethimg was loose. So I figured it was the tracbar. I went home and tightened at the tre and the pop turned into a groin when I turned. So I replaced the tierod, tierod ends and switched to a double shear end. That worked for about a day but then that same groining noise came back. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Oh yeah I drained and refilled the power steering fluid too.

Just want to say thank you for this thread you started.

Makes us "beginners" able to get straight answers from a few "experts".

It is the first one I read in the morning , I follow the discussions and I am always up here to learn something new. I am learning a lot from that thread and hope it will not be closed because it is one of the few place where we can ask dumb questions without being judged.

Thanks again

So here is a dumb question for you everyone.

I have never sold a vehicle before, only bought them. I am in the process of getting rid of my old broken beat to crap Mercedes. When selling do I have to sign the back and get it notarized or is that only the buyer's job?

you have to get it notarized before you can sell it. the state has to see that you signed with proof before they allow you to sell.

Hey Chad. In the past when selling a vehicle I had the option of signing the title and trusting the buyer to transfer it into their name or accompanying them to the DMV and sign it over there and let them pay the fees. But the way people have changed, I go with them to make sure it's signed over and taken out of my name.
You may choose to trust a stranger, but I don't. After all, it's a legal problem if something happens and it's still in your name.

Yeah... I don't know... this guy came up to me while I was working on the Xj and asked how much I wanted for the merz. Told him 200 and it was his. He said he could come by Friday...not sure what he plans on doing on a Friday. I think there is a notary where I work I can get it notarized I'm pretty sure

I should have said "get my jeep running and the car is yours free" lol
