Try steering stablizer seen them go on cherokees before and one go on a 08 wrangler they did everything else to fix it then replaced that an it worked. Alot of money lost over something cheap. Good luck

I removed the mini console easily. I'm having trouble getting the new one in. It seems that the "heat vents" right underneath the ash tray are in the way. I took out the ash tray and removed one screw from the center. I also removed one screw from the passenger side of these heater vents or ducts. It gets a little loose but I can't get it out. I don't want to pull too hard and break something.

Has anyone ever removed one? How about re-siting the license plate and illumination?
