XJ Ask the Question Thread
Quick question I have a Renix 87 limited and the rig runs great except when you hit the throttle off idle it hesitates. it actually will drop RPM before it starts to come back up again. its very slight and hard to notice but the other day I was on a trail with a buddy and he was saying he could hear it when we were going through slow/low rpm sections. I'm sure I am losing some power from this. I will be doing plugs and wires. I haven't done plugs since I have owned it (2 months) and who knows when they were done. but if that does not fix it what should I look for?

Thanks, will look into that! Yeah it was weird...I played with the coils and all that yesterday put them back to their place and then started the engine and it ran great...but then this morning it went back to that weird rumbling noise..only when I press the gas pedal. And the gas smell...was my shoes...must have step in some slush full of it...got to love winters in Canada! haha. Oh and it was -30 this morning...so -22 fahrenheit. It seems like it doesn't like that kind of temperature can't blame the truck haha. I'll try and change that and see if the problem persist! Thanks a bunch guys.

Should be no less than 13psi at hot idle.
If it's less you have an oil pump issue or your crank bearings are shot.

Hey dukie, what kind of radiator over fill bottle do you have? My stock one bit the dust over summer so I went to my local junk yard and couldn't find one so I ordered one new. Got it and the cap that goes on it doesn't have the locking threads all the way around it. This is my second new bottle cause of that cap. It doesn't wanna stay tight. Any ideas bud?
