Im having overheating issues again. I installed a new radiator, hoses, coolant (and burped it), and just now a fan clutch. Coolant is 50/50 with distilled water, thermostat is a 195.

It starts getting hot in stop and go traffic, so I traded out the fan clutch but that's not doing the trick.

You will probably say I should trade my water pump, but I know its working just fine. Coolant was circulating great as I burped it, and this wp was installed last year so its not exactly old.

The only thing I can think of is trading for a 180 thermostat but I really don't want to open things up again. So, any ideas?

Are you over heating, or just running hot? Is your auxiliary fan kicking on?

won't help. Changing the tsat will only change the temperature at which the system opens to that radiator. It won't affect anything after the engine warms up.

How hot is hot? Is your electrical fan kicking on like it's supposed to.
