Greasable bushings. Nice. Gotta look into the reviews on those. I'll also have to do some poking around about the OME leaves, that's too bad if they're all done making them.

Awesome, thank you! Hopefully they can last until summer when i have more time to make that a project along with the wiring in the doors (re-did the speakers, now it looks to be time for the lock on the passenger and both window motors). I've got the package type written down here so i'll do some looking into and preparing for it. For the time being I don't mind much in terms of lift since i'm not doing anything strenuous, but once she is too costly to upkeep for daily driving i plan to make her a project car with massive overhauls in practically every aspect (and if I can, custom design the interior too because after the headliner project being done twice this summer i've had enough of those got dang plastic interior covers with the clips). Thank you again.

I will keep that in mind thank you. I've got an account on the all-encompassing jeep forum so i will try there as well. But for one more tip, for the life of me I can't navigate to a place to make an individual post. When i tried underneath the "misc." Forums it said i was denied access, unless i was looking in the wrong place. I've seen other newcomers (primarily the one posting about selling an oem set of boards that never responded back) make a post the day they started up.

ok Everyone..I just drove around town about 35mph.and it seams the whole jeep shakes until I push in the clutch in..I think my throwout bearing is going out does that have anything to do with it? 1996 5 speed

Has anyone used polyurethane bushings in their leaf springs. How do they ride compared to rubber. And wear time. I keep burning through rubber bushings to often

Motor or trans mounts? Bellhousing bolts loose? If the throwout is bad you should also be getting a grinding noise when you put pressure on it.

So I checked all the wiring, the switch and the linkage to open the lift glass and it all seems fine. Found a few missing fuses and replaced them(ABS should work now too...lol) But I can't get the rear lift glass to open. I'm assuming it's interlocked with the power locks but the rear hatch locks/unlocks/open/closes properly so I don't think it's that. Any ideas where to look next?

Also I found an unplugged plug back there, anyone know what that is for?

Are you using Crown or Omix-ADA bushings? that would be the problem. Use genuine Clevite, should be stamped in rubber.

I switched from skyjacker leafs with rubber bushings, to BDS 7 leaf with poly bushings. The poly bushings have less 'squirm' and are supposed to reduce body roll and reduce lean when driving off-camber.
I like the more stable feel, but on rough pavement or washboard roads, more of it is transmitted into chassis.

fyi, Most aftermarket shackles have poly bushings. I ended up with Clayton shackles that use an oversize Clevite rubber bushing (have to clearance bumper bolts to fit).

Those seem nice. Poly bushings, and the main leaf is actually two leafs, the second wraps partway around bushings. Similar to these BDS leafs..
