What is the maintenance interval of a drain and fill for trans fluid? Should I drop the pan if its never been serviced and inspect it and replace the filter/strainer?
When dropping an oil pan, what are a few things one would want to look at or look for? Is there a torque sequence or torque lbs rating for the pan bolts?

I wouldn't of thought so, but wasn't sure what was being said. The Heep you see at the left was an '88 Limited, 4.0, auto, 242, D30 hp, D35, 3:55, with tow pkg. Yes I'm certain as the 7 pin receptacle was wired from the factory. It had a simple one loop/finned Trans cooler and rear sway bar. Since I didn't get it until later in its life I can't be certain about skids, this one had the tank skid but no others. It is possible that it had a Tcase skid that someone did not put back on. (??? someone worked on the Tcase, a 242 that had a 231 tag on it) It also had some strange helper spring outfit, which was a one sided affair that slipped between the leaf pack and the plate, it arched up about 2" above the main spring and was coupled to the main and second spring by a cradle that slung under.

That's pretty cool that you can drive it home after a day of SCUBA with it, this '88 we drove home after a day of gymnastics doing a cartwheel!
