Do you still have the inner fender plastic in there? I had that **** scraping on my tire before. Sounded similar to what you're describing.

do you need em? no. would it be better? maybe. If I were to get new CA's, i'd go with something very strong. my personal favorite- ironman4x4.

i've been running tuff country fixed lowers since I bought the jeep. they've held up just fine. never needed to replace the bushings. I'd say replace the bushing and continue with life.

14v with the engine on, 12v with it off. It's not uncommon for connectors to corrode along the way.

I like this idea. Im building a zombie response rig, its got a long way to go based of funds and her needing so much maintenance to get her up to par, she was in bad shape. But the bamboo sounds interesting.

I wouldn't guarantee it would last all that long.. or be able to hold all that much. Then again, I don't know all that much about bamboo. If you do it, make sure you build it right before a show/ high-profile wheeling event so it gets some publicity. Or at least take some pictures for the rest of us here.

Bamboo is lightweight and reasonably strong, however it bends very easily and will only last a year or two exposed to the elements.

EMT conduit is lightweight, reasonably strong, galvanized, and doesn't bend when you put things on it that you'd actually put in a roof basket.

That, sir, looks like a chocolate milkshake. You need to be looking for signs of contamination after you flush and fill. Make sure you check your oil for coolant contamination as well.

ok thanks for the input, I just have to find out if the bushings are pressed in or if you can slide em' in. I want to replace the bushings just due to its a lot cheaper lol

No problem. Just remember, they went bad once so it's possible if you use the same bushings, they'll go bad again. But it might be 1,000 miles or 50,000. And i'd go ahead and replace all of them at once.

Im goin to draw up a layout but I though if zombie or what ever do happen then u would have a resource. That u can use for multiple things

I am designing one that will support weight I have 1 inch round bamboo and when cut to 50 inch pieces 1 Inch thick I think it will hold more weight. Im also going to seal it so It is completly water proof.

I am doing both sides. The Jeep has been lifted on the same lift for over 6 years, and 85k miles. I think they did there job lol.
