the reason why i was holding the pedal is cuz it does it when i back up fast and it does misfire so i held the brake and tried it so i know that it isn't from gas sloshing around or possibly a weak fuel pump i would think but i could be wrong. any ideas would be appreciated

That's pretty weird. I've never heard of that kind of thing happening before. I have no idea what could make your jeep misfire in reverse and not in drive....I'm really stumped.

On my '96 XJ, I have the large, clear, rectangular signal lights under the headlights, with the orange wrap-around side-marker lights.
The signal lights have a single socket for #1157 bulb. I'd like to set it up to use the Signal Light as Daytime Running Light, using amber LED bulbs, but I don't think a single #1157 LED bulb will be bright enough.
Somewhere in the depths of my brain I seem to recall seeing a dual-bulb version of this signal light - maybe in a parts list, or exploded view, or something. So my question is - does a twin-bulb version of this signal light exist (or one that I could make fit)? If so, what year/trim would it be on, so I can find it in a junkyard?
(I know I need to do some special wiring to use as both DRL and signal light, I've got that under control)

I think it's really just personal preference. I got my RE one for 50 bucks.

A friend has a 91 Cherrokee. She was told by the person who sold it to her that the engine was from a 96. Both 6 Cyl.
The issue is the the oil filter strikes a sharp edge on the chassis (or suspension) whn hitting a bump. This cut a hole on the top end (away from the block) and createing a spraying oil leak.
Has any one ever heard of this. Is there a SHORT filter available??
I am a retire ase cert Mechanic but have no jeep extertise. I did discover the problem 3 filters ago

Thanks for the replies.
The L & R mount are solid as a rock. There is no 90 degree adaptor.
It may in fact be the Trans mount which will allow the powerplant to be lower then normal.
I did find a quick fix, and thei filternumber is one to keep handy in case of mods etc.
Fram Ph3512, Wix 5135, Napa 1335, aare all the same mount. and 2.7" high.
Thanks for the quick response, and hope someone else can benefit from my research.
Remember the JEEP was the single most important tool that helped in the success of our troops in WWII!

ok so i just got back to work an first check went into rims
well two of them so far
i got the cragar 365 or v-5 15x8
they only have 3.75 bs in this size
is it going to pose a problem, was hoping to have them stick out a lil more than the stockers
already have 31 10.5 15 tires to go with
