Can anyone tell me what would cause my starter to lock up? Replaced it a few weeks ago and it's doing it again. 2000 4.0

Is it possible to check what transmission came in an xj with just a vin? Trying to figure out if its an ax-15? Its a 95 that's all I know

If it's a 4.0 and you have a manual transmission then it's an AX-15.

Manual trans: AX-15
Auto trans: AW4

my a/c is making a grinding noise and squeaking when the belt goes over it. the grinding stops when the clutch turns on. are the bearings worn out inside my a/c compressor. do i have to get a new a/c compressor. would charging the system with on of the a/c cans help my a/c does not get cold fast.

If it's manual then it is an AX-15...

The bearings in the AC clutch are bad.

will a 5.2 out of a dodge Durango fit into a 98 limited same motor? im going to pick one up tomorrow if it does.

Both are 5.2 auto. Durango motor is 99, jeep is 98. Everything i see is telling me that the motors swap, but i want to make sure because this is the jeep site. You guys would know.
