Pushrod bent?

Really sludgy in there.

Replace the pushrod. Fill with 5 quarts of 15-40 Rotella and 1 quart of Marvel Mystery Oil, using a Napa Gold filter. Run it. Monitor the progress of cleaning the sludge up by looking through the oil filler hole with a flashlight.

 

Man thats bad, when I replaced my gasket mine looks brand dam new. zero sludge.

 

This is the second go around. Slung 3 the first time, non were bent. I gonna replace that one and run it til the next oil change I've already done the mmo and three oil changes in a month trying to clean out the sludge.

Thought about trying something a little stronger than MMO?

Maybe Seafoam? 2 quarts of MMO with 4 quarts of Rotella?

 

I may try seafoam.

 

I ran 1/3 can of seafoam in my oil for 100 miles. Then did an oil change with cheap Walmart oil, then after another 200 I drain and put in my normal penzoil. No regrets.

 

There's a thought. Just use a good filter like Wix or Napa.

 

Whos the guy that sells the fuel injectors?

 

I always use puralator. Any reason not to use them on a 4.0?
