On my 88 and 90 renix's my heaters are by passed. I was wondering if there was an effective way to block the tube comming from the water pump and the small heater line in the thermostat housing?

Easiest way is loop a short hose from one to the other.

I know the pipe comes out of pump, so it can be plugged. I don't know about water outlet. You maybe could find outlet without that pipe.

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado V8. After having my driver side half shaft replaced and new brakes on the front my Jeep started making a loud clunk noise randomly after releasing the brakes and putting back on gas. It has been happening off and on now for about 3 weeks. Then three days ago driving down the highway it kicked itself from 4 high to 4 low. It also started to try to do it again on a back road but I heard it trying to kick out so I let off the gas and it stopped. Do you know what the issue might be and the best and least expensive way to fix this?

1998 Cherokee 127k 4.0 AW4

My Jeep takes a while to start often. I turn the key to "on" for a few seconds to prime the injectors then turn it over. It cranks and cranks and cranks. Almost every cold start I have to crank it for a few seconds then start again and itll start perfect the second time.

I thought it was my CPS, but that didnt change anything. Any ideas?

Bypassing the heatercore has nothing to do with how the systems cools. Unless you're blasting the heat wide open all the time.

Fuel check valve. Common problem in late models. Try priming two or three times before you start.

what do you guys think of turbos on jeeps? i know it would be useless for crawling but i dont do crawling. its my DD and i was thinking of getting a small turbo that spools really early to improve my torque and passing power.

Personally I wouldn't bother with a turbo cause of the cooling issues Jeeps can have. That being said, any set up can be run to great effect as long as it's done properly. But it won't be cheap. Have you considered pulling the crank and rods out of an old 4.2L and making a stroker? Would definitely be cheaper than making a turbo set up. There is also the Eaton M62 supercharger option.
