Do a pressure test.
I replaced the cap before I replaced the radiator, I don't have a pressure testor, and I don't want to take it to anybody.

The dirt/grime around the freeze plugs was thick sludge because it was soaked in ethylene glycol.

Ok, I don't know what to look for, can I get one at hf? Does it just put pressure on the system so you can see it leaking?

Check with AutoZone. They may have one in their loaner program, you put down a deposit nd get it back when you return it.

Thanks, I didn't think of them. That's a pretty sweet deal. I've borrowed a couple of different tools from there.

If it suddenly dropped to zero and kept running normally, it's a problem with the sensor.

Bad sensor or bad wiring.

Do they keep you locked in a cell when you're not on a call?

Can't work on our vehicles or wash them while on duty. Get a write-up for it.

Wow, that's lame.

We could rebuild an engine in one of the bays if we wanted to.

I can at my FD. Hell we've done it a few months ago, but not at other depts where im working. Heated bays and 18' ceilings make good for mechanic work. Plus we're already there if we get a call.
