I was thinking of stuffing something like an extra heavy duty garbage bag or three into the rockers and blasting them with closed-cell foam. Everywhere I go the inside has been treated with muratic acid and/or rust-inhibiting primer. No redneck jobs here, I don't want to repair that junk again lol
Why are you filling your rockers with foam?

Drove the Xj to the store the store day in heavy rain. Normally when I drive in the rain the brakes would stop hard with slight sudden pressure to the brake pedal. After about 5 mins this would stop and brakes would be normal. This time it happened every time I touched the brakes. I know I need do the brakes, have been waiting for tax money to do so, so I have only been driving short distances. No more than a mile or two. I have decided not to drive it anymore until the brakes are fixed. One thing that concerns me is that also on this trip in the rain when the brakes would stop hard I would hear a loud clunk noise (thud, not sure what to call it) once. Similar to the noise it would make over bumps when the rear shocks were bad.

I'm not sure what other info is needed here, but my question is do I have another issue on top of the bad brakes?

hey guys,
I may be speaking heresy here, but Chrysler did their re-brand back in the day and came out with the Patriots. Has anyone heard anything good bad or otherwise about them? I'm kinda tempted to look into one for a daily driver (since they apparently say these things get close to 30 mpg). Anyone have any thoughts? (sorry if this is in the wrong thread)

Eeeew Compass.

I'm thinking about foam for noise and to firm it up a bit. Most of the work is 22 gauge steel and about halfway through I found that the old exterior rocker was rusting. I've stopped the rust now but its a bit thin in one spot.

Do you guys suggest the Sylvania silver star headlights? Are they that much better over stock?

Cheapest lower control arms available? Currently on a 2 inch front lift. Im not looking for anything fancy id just rather not use the same thin sheet metal ones. Id like to get fixed length one if they are cheaper.

Any sources or ideas?

I don't know about those but I got the "xtra vision" ones last time because they were out of the regulars. They were only $10 more a set. They are definitely better than their regular ones. Better color of light and waaaay brighter.

If the silver stars aren't that much more I'd go for em
