Are these good shocks? I'm assuming cause they are bilstein that they are alright, does anybody know anything about them?

I have them on my suburban. Wouldn't buy them again. Had them on my Truck, removed them and went KYB. Lots of Bilstein fans (sheep) here. Personally, shocks are a subjective subject. Just not for me. I don't like the boat type feel when driving.

Oh so these are gonna have a loose ride to them? So it's not gonna inhibit my flex at all? I'm building pastard packs and I got them for $5 each, so I figured I couldn't pass that up

Those are HD ones. Usually not for lifted vehicles. The silver (5100s) are.

I jack mind from the diff. For the sides I just put it anywhere on the unibody rails.

I have a complete 93 HO 4.0L and I want to swap it into my 89 without having to redo the entire wiring harness. Does anyone know of a good write up?

cruiser54 has a lot of documentation on engine swaps where a Renix is involved. Not sure if he actually has a writeup (found in the writeup section) but he's posted in many threads on the subject. What exactly are you swapping? Block? Whole thing? Did the 89 engine explode?

Did every Cherokee come with the "Jeep" emblem on the front header? I noticed mine didn't and there doesn't seem to be any paint fade or glue residue. IMO I like it more without it though

Yup. One above the grille, and one of the rear hatch. "Cherokee" or "CHEROKEE" should be on either the door or on the front fenders along with the trim designation. "4.0L", "4.0 LITRE", "HIGH OUTPUT", "4x4" and "Cherokee" on the rear hatch seem to vary.

OK my turn!

Doing a ton of rocker work and thought about filling them with foam. Did some searching on the interweebs and it seems that open-celled foam encourages rust by sucking up moisture, a la the original VW Beetles. Closed-cell foam (like I suspected) doesn't absorb water at the same rate and there are marine- and auto-specific formulas being used by some OEMs. Anybody have any experience with this stuff? I was thinking of stuffing something like an extra heavy duty garbage bag or three into the rockers and blasting them with closed-cell foam. Everywhere I go the inside has been treated with muratic acid and/or rust-inhibiting primer. No redneck jobs here, I don't want to repair that junk again lol
