So, my wife bought me a radio for my bday last month and I finally got around to putting it in. After having to run a new power wire, darn PO, it will turn on but no sound will come out. I thought I had a bad radio so I took it back to the store I bought it from and the guy tested it and it worked fine. I have tested the wires from the harness to the speaker and I have continuity. As far as I know I do not have the infinity system. Any ideas?

 

be sure there is not an amp turn on wire somewhere

 

I am not sure how I would do this? I looked under the back seat and no amp?

When you put the radio back into the dash did the harness come unplugged? This happened to me. There is not much room behind it.

I have not put the radio back in the dash yet. So the harness is plugged i and the radio will turn on I just can't get any sound out of it?

 

Do you have an extra speaker to run to the harness? It seems odd that none of the speakers would work so it has to be the harness or the head unit. What kind of radio is it? So I can look it up and get some info.
