Would the trac bar cause my front end to shift forward on one side?

Default Would the trac bar cause my front end to shift forward on one side?

Just had my 31's put on ( 99 cherokee with 3 in rusty's springs, 1.75 poly spacer) and the tech noted my left front wheel rubs my fender.

Now I declined to have an alignment today because I still need to somehow press out my lower sway bar links, so i`m driving around disconnected right now.

The guy who sold me my gently used lift also threw in a skyjacker trac bar relocation bracket. I have read VERY mixed reviews from how weak they can be etc. Do I A) Get my sway bar issue fixed and bring it in to have an alignment or B) get under there and install the skyjacker relo bracket THAN go get the alignment?

I appreciate it guys!

Maybe the front end shifted (L <--> R) when you lifted it? The trackbar's a little too short now?

Your title asks if the trac bar would cause a axle to shift forward or backward. And no, I'm pretty sure that's not possible. The trac bar controls the axles position from left to right. The control arms, upper and lower are what control axles fore and aft position.

very odd my 31's rub ONLY on the left front fender. Either way to be safe I just ordered an IRONROCK double shear trac bar.

Like said, track bar is just what centers the axle under your jeep side to side. And the sway bar and track bar have nothing to do with your alignment so once you get that done at whatever lift hight you are at now it will be good till you change the hight again. A new track bar is a good idea after lifting to that hight so getting a new one wasn't a bad idea. The rubbing could be a mis adjusted control arm likely lower or could be as simple as a fender flair that has shifted. Good luck with whatever the actual problem may be!

It has to be a fender thing. Unless your frame is tweaked or the control arms are different lengths.

Or the bushings in the control arms are badly worn....
