starter relay... or starter solenoid... starter solenoid is located on the starter in most cases... so starter replacement means solenoid replacement...Originally Posted by schmaunty

i JUST had this problem with my 92. Would only start when it was cold, once it warmed up it wouldnt start unless i redneck'd it.
replaced starter solenoid and now it starts every time, hot or cold (just have a NSS problem now)

Huntingman's right, it's probably your starter or starter solenoid. However, I think it can cause your rig to turn off while driving; if the solenoid kicks the starter on it diverts all power from the rest of the vehicle.Originally Posted by dogdog130
