Won't Start 95 XJ
Hi guys I'm new here. I recently bought a 95 XJ that wasn't running. I've been reading and talking everything and everyone why it won't start. It will turn over but will not fire. I replaced the CPS the pick up coil distributer plugs wires. I have very little spark. And I only have fuel pressure in the rail when it is turning over. Any help would be great. Completely stumped.

You may have more than one thing going on.
1. You need a strong, BLUE spark. Weak spark is often related to a failing ignition coil. The coil can be tested for both primary and secondary resistances with a meter and a manual.
2. Fuel pressure. You need approximately 31 psi of fuel pressure to start your 95. Check for it with a fuel pressure gauge, which can often be rented inexpensively from a parts store. Might want to consider replacing your fuel filter first though (easy on a 95, on the drivers side about midway under the door). A clogged fuel filter needs to be eliminated from the equation NOW and the filter is inexpensive. Don't want to swap out your fuel pump or regulator, only to find the problem is a clogged filter.
Good luck and keep us updated!

Hey guys. I checked my ignition coil out and it's good. Still not getting any spark. I'm running out of ideas. All I can think of now is timing. Any other thoughts would be helpful. Please and thanks.

The timeing is not manually adjustable, it is set by the computer from what I have been told.
Have you checked your grounds?, From the battery to the frame and to the block and I think there is one from the block to the firewall as well, dont know if that would have much affect on spark though.
Did you replace the rotor (distributor) as well?
This is where a obd checker would be valuable, I have the same year as you and I am planning on picking one up soon.

Update. After further inspection. I've come to the conclusion that my timing is off. Everything has power. But I still have no spark. That leaves my conclusion. Am I crazy to think so? Hints and tips on how to fix it?

The next thing in my mind would be power and ground... im sure you already have, but check/replace the power and grounds... just enough continuity to turn over but not enough to fire... also, make sure battery is good

The battery is good. I'll make sure to recheck the grounds and power tho. I'm starting to lean towards timing.
