Default wj tie rod ends on a xj?

I saw somewhere the WJ V-8 tie rods will fit the XJ rod ends and give you a tie rod upgrade for cheap... can anyone confirm this? I bent my stock tie rod and need a cheap($40) replacement strong enough for 33s.

I used a ZJ (Grand Cherokee) drag link on my 2000 cherokee. It was a great improvement. More beefy than the stock drag link.

The ZJ Grand Cherokee Tie Rod is a direct bolt in. I put one on my 87 Cherokee.

ZJ V8 tie rod is what you want. The 4.0 zj will just be the same as stock, no upgrade.

ZJ drag link is the same as your '00 drag link.
Unless you meant tie rod...

the drag link is the rod that goes from the steering box to the passenger wheel, the tie rod is the rod that connects both wheels together. the tie rod is much bigger on the ZJ V8 models. that is what you want.

Then you're either confusing your parts, or someone switched the steering from an '88 into your '00.

Like trans_am said, drag link goes from pitman arm to wheel, tie rod is wheel to wheel.
The drag link is the same between a v8 ZJ and your '00.

ZJ tie rod is solid stock where as the XJ is tube stock. Can be had for $70 from Autozone or the likes. Or if you like grab one from a recycle yard for less then 30 pack.

I don't need to check my stats, there's nothing wrong with them.

Or, you could just go hold your '00 DLink next to the same one you have installed...
