So I took the inside panel off the hatch and exposed the wireing to re wire new speakers in. And there is a black wire with a male plug on it. And two blue wires alttatched to one another with a female plug at the connection. My rear defogger doesn't work and I'm wondering if it's as simple as pluging the 2 blue wires into the black one. But I don't want to short anything out. Does anyone know what these un used plugs are for?

 

dont plug them in ive heard of people doing it an things go wacky ...

 

You will have some unused plugs for license plate light, it is wired for light on bumper and light on optional spare tire carreier. Only one should be used. If both pluged in it blows fuse for dash lights. Your defroster only has plugs at the bottom corners of thw glass where the metal grid ends.

 

Defogger wires are two black wires, one on either side.
