Default Wipers slowed down after puddle

Went out cruising some dirt roads today and flew through a series of puddles. Afterwards my wipers are running around half speed. They make an odd noise i checked the search function but no results. Possibly a vaccuum line?

I don't think wipers are vacuum powered. They are electric.

You probably got water somewhere it shouldn't be.

Start looking at wiring connections.

If they still work but not as fast, it could be low voltage getting to the motor, or something with the resistor that changes wiper speed.

Ok dont get mad cause Ive seen it before, you know the **** adjusts the speed like the dimmer switch. Reason I ask is people bump the dimmer and post their dash lights are going bad

Could be a loose connection but it happened right after the water. I didnt go to easy through the puddles i was doing around 30 and they were close to a foot deep so im pretty sure thats whats to blame. Im going to check it out in the morning and check the motor out and try to dry it out. I was just hoping for a quick fix or a definate answer of me frying the motor or having a chance of revival. Thanks
