So while helping a friend diagnose a front end problem we accidentally snapped off the grease fitting on the front driveshaft. Any negative results from it?

Perhaps you can get what is left of the fitting out with a small ez-out (look them up). Then replace with a new fitting of the same size. Most grease fittings are threaded and replaceable. Worst case, you could probably drill the old one out, tap the hole, and thread in a new one.

The farmer in me says to just grease the hole with a needle fitting.
Or do as others said and try to extract it or drill and tap it. You can also drill and hammer in ones that aren't threaded, but they're more likely to fall out again.

I broke mine off years ago and replaced the seal and fitting, so that's
an available option if you can't get the fitting to stay.
