Default Stupid Question? How to grease non grease U Joint

Went to Napa and got their best Super Strong Precision U Joint. This goes in my front axle of 98 xj. No Grease fittings. Inside the box it says warranty void if not properly greased. How do you properly grease this U joint before instalation?

ive never had a non greaseable one.

Do the caps come off? If they do just shoot some grease in there and get it on all the needles and call it good i would think

Caps come off. I am thinking fill the holes in the cross up with grease, put some in the cups and call it good? But don't know.

If you could drill a hole in the end of one of the caps then tap it the same size as the zirt fitting you just bought when you went back to napa. That would work!

If you go that route, keep it clean and make sure the zirt does not close off the port for the grease to lube that cap.

Don't mess with them just put them in. I suppose you could remove the caps and grease them but the should come greased from the factory. BTW, I've been running those same u-joints for 2 yrs.. They have held up fine, I even broke a short shaft right at the joint. The u-joint was still good and got transfered to the next shaft without issue. A good solid u-joint for the money.
