Winter's coming, heater questions.
Ey guys winter is coming pretty quick down here and my heat is not very hot. I can have it on full blast and still be slightly cool. I was just wondering if there's any thing I can do to maybe kick the heat up? I have a 195 thermostat in it. Is that too low? Any advice would be great, I'd love to have good heat this winter! Lol

Flush the heater core, really good.. I did it half a**ed the first time with no change. Then did it with both water and air really good after that and my heat blows hot! Also make sure your coolant level is topped off

Take off the 2 hoses going to the heater core then connect a water hose to the hose and turn on the water and let it flush for a couple of mins then do the same with the other heater core hose. Do this about 3 or 4 times make sure to flush it in both heater core hoses that way it will flush it in both directions. While you are at it do it right and flush you radiator and engine block too. Just keep flushing until the water comes out clear. the make sure to add 50% coolant and 50% water. If you have no other heater problems you should be good to go.

Especially if that's the original heater core in your '94. Knowing how our cooling systems have problems all the time, I would suspect your heater core just has loads of gunk in it. 195 t-stat should be fine.
