Default Winter tires

Since I almost crashed this weekend on black ice with my no name mud tires I am deciding to buy winter/All terrain tires.

I was looking at:

General Tire Grabber AT

BFGoodrich All Terrains

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac

But how will these tires do in heavy snow and on ice? Anyone have any other suggestions?

I live in Quebec, Canada(It snows a lot here)

THANKS!

The Generals are the best out of the three. Although if you want THE best, look into Firestone Destination A/Ts, Blizzaks, or Simex Trekkers for extreme snow weather and offroading

The name Blizzak keeps coming up, but which ones? And what size should I get? I have a 2 inch lift.

I run the Duratrac's. The only time I have had any issue in the winter was on black ice. Other then that, they have yet to let me down. I recommend looking at them.

The blizzaks are a winter tire, very good in the snow but only good for about 10000 miles, especially if you use them all yr around. I bought the Duratracs this summer, severe weather rated, awsome traction so far here in NE Minnesota. I think the Generals are weather rated too. I dont think studs are legal in most states that actually get severe winter weather. Go figure.

The Generals are Mud and Snow rated, but not in all sizes. The 235/70/15 ARE, and they work great all year round.
