Default Wing windows that open?

1. Did the Cherokee ever have optional wing windows that would flip open like the old trucks and cars did?

2. Can anyone reccomend any sites that would show what options were available on what models and years?

Thanks!

This site has a lot of info, but not exactly a break down of all the options.

Ok, they must have been an option, my 88 did not have them nor does my 93. Any idea what model years would have the same door shape/size as the '93? Would like to start looking for a way to get them on my '93 and there seems to be a lot of parts avail in the Bone-Yards right now...

I believe, but I am not positive that any year up to 95 or 96 will work on your 93. At some point in the production line the hinges and door stikers were changed. Just look at yours and what is available at the jy and compare.

My wing window locks are worn out. Anyone know of rebuild or parts kits?

I just swapped a set off a 93 onto my 96, I know that the 93 Sport I got for parts had them, so it was an option then. Put an ad up in the wanted section, I remember somebody talking about them not too long ago.

Was it that big of a deal to do your swap? Did you have power windows?

The one I took them out of was power windows, but mines not ( I don't want the problems that come with power windows-personal preference), but no wasn't hard, just have to take the rail out of the front side (one screw on the bottom) and undo the phillips screws holding the wing windows in. Took me about a half hour to do both sides.

My 93 2 door Sport has them. They whistle and leak a little bit. I need new seals from here-http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/parts/Detailed/1181.html
That site lists them as 89-95 2 or 4 door. My window sticker lists them as being a $91 option in 1993.

Now I have never seen them on a 2 door. I have seen the vent window for the rear quarter panel glass on the 2 doors, but never the front. Post some pics if you can.
