My 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo (4.0 6 cyl) recently and randomly started this issue where the windshield wipers will turn on by themselves while the motor is running or key is turned in the on position.
This happens with the wiper control switch in the off position. If I rotate the switch to an on position then back to off, they turn off but only for a few moments and then they turn back on again. I currently have my wiper arms taken off of the Jeep because it’s aggravating to deal with.
I don’t know where to start to fix this. Any help would be awesome.
I will attempt to upload a video of this.

there is an extensive diagnostic in my FSM, and it would appear likely that you have a fault in either the "module" the "multi function switch" (stalk) or wiring between them

If you're savvy, remove the multi-function switch (blinker lever) and tape the 2 wires together that make the wipers move, and then see if it still does it. If so, then that eliminates the wiper switch portion of the blinker lever. If it stops, then I'd say the blinker lever/wiper switch is going bad.
Does that make sense to everyone? or did I explain that wrong....???
I'm not even sure if that method would work, but it makes sense to me that it would....

Do they move on Slow or High? Does it delay?
I think you can remove the module and connect the 2 harnesses together. It will be manual then (Off, Low, High, no delay). If it works, the module may be the culprit. If not then the switch or wiring.
