Default Windows only roll down from drivers door

Trying to get all the bugs out of the 92. All 4 windows only go down and up from drivers door. Also the auto locks dont work. One thing i noticed too was that when i push the passenger rear window up the dome light comes on which dint work right. Also the radio light shuts off when head lights are on which i figured some of this was from the headlight switch cuz.my dash lights dont work lol sounds.like a mess huh

After doing some work in the drivers side door on my 98 I had the same problem. Turns out I did not snap one of the connectors all the way and it worked itself out. I have not been inside a door of your year with power anything so I'm not sure if the wiring is set up the same way or not(on two separate connectors). Wish I could be more help but that's all I've got.

It's the window lock switch, they're known for problems.

That link above is a quick way to bypass and avoid actually taking the switch housing and switch apart to clean the contacts.

ya seen that before.
thats a good write up.

one thing i noticed with mine is that the wiring harness going into the door is stretched and had frayed wires.
it was fun, u could roll the window down and the front speakers turned off along with the blower motor died down a few amps. when it went up all worked well.

also if i press and hold the unlock button the dome light buzzes and turns on. lol

On the later model XJs a common problem is the window lock switch. Over time and repeated use the solder joints break. If you can solder its pretty simple to open it up and resolder those joints.

Here's the write up for going into the switch to clean contacts/solder joints
