I have a WARN M8000 so it is the 5/16" cable 100ft anyone know of a good place to order from that does not cost $$ me tons

the rope is alot easier to work with and just as strong you just have to take care of that rope keep it away from rocks keep it clean and keep it covered itl get beet up in the weather and mud and whatnot

thanks i found i like the synthetic because i have seen a steel one break and it was very dangerous and when me and a buddy broke his synthetic line it just fell to the ground no danger at all. also i wheel with my kid and my buddy has his kid as well. so i know if my line breaks no one will be hurt. that and if you use the same size synthetic line it is stronger then the same size steel line. but use what ever you want just take care don't stand near the line and use a line weight to keep the recoil down to a minimum

yeah i lost about 5 feet with the line i used but not a big deal i got a 25 foot extension line for when i need it to be longer. my main drawback was the price so i started buying it piece by piece so i did not have to drop like 250 to 300 all in one shot

There are a few more, like said above such as keeping it cleaner, water, mud etc. Keeping it covered so it doesnt fray or cut on rocks etc. I think it depends on how much you use your winch and under what conditions. Those would play a huge roll if I was purchasing new line. Money is also a factor with most so If your on a budget go with cable and upgrade later.
