Default Will it rub?

If i put 31"s on my stock 1990 cherokee, will they rub a ton, or will it be fine? Will i have to cut the wheel wells?

i can get these tires for free, thats why i'm considering it, i don't have the money right now for a lift

You can't beat free they will most likley rub due to sagging springs you could always trim some metal for a custom fit.

They will rub when you flex or hit a bump but yes you will need to trim a little.

Yes they will rub. You will have to leave your sway bars connected and then you may get away with out rubbing.

It is expensive to wheel so everyone at one point had to have either tires or lift first. I went with tires first as I saved up for my lift.

Just wait to wheel it ride with people and learn the tricks of the trade. You can do a budget boost for pretty cheap so search the forums some and read up.

c'mon now. 31s will fit on a stock Cherokee and trimming is recommended. a "normal" trim job will do, bump stop it and wheel it. I'm fixing to put some 31s on mine and it will be returning to stock at some point.

Yeppers, I am. I can't leave well enough alone. I'm now debating on whether to strip what goodies I have on it before I sell it next year. What I have on it won't increase the value of it much, plus I can use the money from selling the parts to help fund stuff for a WJ.
