Default Will Not Start

I just replaced the motor in my Jeep I had it running on Monday then it Died and will not restart. I checked the CPS and the CKS and both seemed to be good. I have noticed that I have relays chattering. On Tuesday I got it to running again but had to use starting fluid to get it to running then it died again any help will be greately appreciated.

Check the ground wires from the battery to the engine and from the engine head to the firewall.

If starting fluid gets it going, then you're not getting fuel pressure. Check and see if the pump activates when you turn the key to the on position, should hear it. You can also check for fuel pressure using the schrader valve on the fuel rail with the key in the on position. Gas will squirt out if it has pressure so be mindful of it! Sounds like you fuel pump relay may have a bad connection, or may be shot. Try to see why they fit loose, your problem may be in the distribution block. Did you switch relays when you swapped motors or something? Wondering why your relays would act up after the swap.

Yes it cranking I check for spark the other day I was getting they but I am going to check again. I just checked the fuel and I get some out but it looks like it does with key. Should it being spraing all of the time?? What all is the ballast resistor doing on the Jeeps is it just for the fuel pump or is it for other things too?

Try to jumper connector 30 and 87 of the FP relay socket with a thick piece of wire and bypass the ballast resistor to have the FP running continuously.
Bleed the rail from air.
The ballast resistor reduces voltage once the engine is on to the FP and to the oxygen sensor heating system.

That is strange, you said previously it would start with starting fluid.

you replaced the coil and still no spark? what about distriputor cap and rotor button along with wires. if your getting fuel.. cross that off it's spark. im sure you know how all this works. check the wires that plug into the coil and make sure thier in thier tight. and that they are all good.
