why isnt my radio getting power?
i have a 2000 cherokee classic and my radio randomly looses power. most of the time i can just turn the key back and it will come back on but it went off earlier today and i havent been able to get it to come back on. im pretty sure it isnt a fuse any ideas? also i have power windows and they all work on the drivers door but not on the individual doors even if the window lock is off any ideas on that one?

make sure your speakers aren't grounding. I had a speaker that would occasionally
short to ground and the radio woud go into a "safe" mode, now this wasn't on a factory radio so I don't know if a factory one would do thatBefore I found that out,
I had tried 3 different radios.
window problem may be the master switch is bad, not sending power to the other
switches.

I'm with Patriot on the window gig. As for the radio, A stock radio (and 99.99% of aftermarket) have a main power (yellow) and a ground (black). Theres also an ignition line (Blue or blue w/ white, maybe Red, can't remember offhand). My guess is besides a grounding speaker, there may be a problem with either that line or the signal from the ignition.
As for the power windows there are many posts on a fix for this. Essentialy you need to jump the yellow and tan wires behind the driver's kick panel (behind the hood latch) to bypass the window lock switch. Do a search and you will find write ups. It works, I did it.

There are also write ups on fixing the the front speaker wires which may be causing your radio issues. I did that too and it also worked. JB
