Bought my '99 from my uncle so I'm second owner. Loved it when he had it and it's treated me well for the past four years. Do some mild mudding and trail driving with it and holds steady in 2 wheel barely put it into 4 except for deep snow. Love it
My dad bought it new in 2000 and babied the hell out of it
It was the first car I ever saw that I liked
It was the first car I ever drove
I got my license in it
I bought it like 2 years ago from my dad
I broke it in ahahah
I have 130,000 mi on it
I will Mod it and Drive it till it rusts away (if I ever let it rust)
I have never been stranded in it

Due to easy access of parts, and it's ability off road is why I bought my first one. My second one is because of what my first proved to me. I kept my foot on the floor and it kept asking me is that all you got for me, so I kept trying harder and harder and she always pulled me out.

Well my wife and i had a baby on the way, so i wanted something 4x4 to get thru the winters here safely, it needed 4 doors, room for a car seat and room to carry stuff, my father in law convinced me on a jeep after a crazy drive (he is into zjs ) and i worked at a used car lot, we had a 98 zj 4.0 and the 99 xj....the zj was more, had less options, more problems (the xj had a bad wheel bearing) and wayyy more miles, got my boss to give me a price on my 99 with 87,000 for 3 grand.......took it for a drive and just had to have it....and to think i kinda made fun of it when it came in due to being purple-ish...hahaha (its actually amethyst pearlcoat i guess)
